MALAYSIA, Penang, emergency coinage, tin uniface cent, not dated (c.1800-1803), obv. initial GL (Governor Leith), in ring, countermarked weakly on obverse with yuan, (KM. 8, SS.22a). Some surface pitting, otherwise very fine and very rare.

This issue was first published by Major Fred Pridmore in Spink Numismatic Circular February 1977, (Vol. LXXV, No.2 p.46-7).
