ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (272-235 B.C.), silver stater, (6.40 grams), obv. helmeted warrior on horse to right holding lance downwards, shield behind, below +HPAK**L HTOS in two lines, above to left **DI, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a flower and cornucopiae, to right a thymiaterion and **EP monogram, **T A PAS below, (cf.S.374, Vl.892, SNG ANS 1208). Extremely fine.
