RENFREWSHIRE, Paisley J. Muir's five shillings, a Charles IIII Mexico City Mint eight reales 1804 countermarked J. Muir Manufr. Paisley around a circle, 5/- inside, cancelled by overstamping with a grille pattern, reverse countermarked with Prince of Wales feathers (Davis 113). Uneven toning, coin F, countermark good fine.

Ex Walter Allen (lot 115) Collection. Sixteen specimen known, the majority cancelled, issued from 1813.
