WORCESTERSHIRE, Worcester porcelain Company white porcelain shilling token circa 1760, obverse printed in script 'I promise to pay to the Bearer on demand one shilling W. Davies at the China Factory in seven lines, reverse WPC in raised block capitals (Davis 36). Extremely fine and excessively rare.

W. Davies was one of the principal founders of the Worcester Porcelain Industry in 1751. Purchased from F. Schwer in 1988.
