LYDIA, Tralles, (c.160-150 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.70 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left monogram **TRAL, to right thunderbolt, (cf.S.4745, Kleiner and Noe Series 10, [p.63], same dies as No.23b [Plate XXI,6], SNG Von Post 184 [this coin]). Very fine and scarce.

Ex. Von Post collection and Sotheby's London sale 9-10th October 1995 (lot 123 part).
