SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VI, (144-142 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.79 grams), dated year 169 = October 143-October 142 B.C., Antioch mint, obv. diademed radiate head of Antiochus VI to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated to left on omphalos, holding bow and arrow, to right **[BASILEWS AN]TIOCO[U]*, and to left **EPIFANOUS [D]IONUSOU*, in exergue OP **STA*, monogram of XAP between legs, (cf.S.7073, SMA 248, BMC 11). Minor areas of knocks on edges slightly off centred on reverse, otherwise very fine, rare.
