SYRIA, Kingdom of, Alexander I Balas, (150-145 B.C.), AE 20, (6.1 grams), obv. laureate head of Alexander I to right, rev. Zeus on throne to left, **[BA]SILEWS [ALE]XANDROU*, (S.7043, BMC 35, p.54). Serrated edge, off centred and double struck on the reverse, otherwise good fine, scarce.
