Japanese Occupation of Singapore, The Oriental Telephone & Electric Co. Limited, overprinted SYONAN TELEPHONE BUREAU, bill receipt for twenty seven dollars dated 1/7/2602, paid at the Yokohama Specie Bank Ltd, Cash Department Syonan on 9th July 1942. Crowned telephone logo at left in red together with oval bank stamp and several Chinese chops; Syonan Tokubetu-SI (Municipality of Syonan), notice dated 7th August 2604 (1943) re the unauthorised occupation of alnd at the corner of North Bridge Road and North Boat Quay.
