Thrace, Island off Thrace, Thasos, (c.510-490 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.352 grams), obv. naked ithyphallic Satyr (archaic style) in a kneeling running attitude carrying off protesting nymph, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (S.1358 [£200], BMC 12, McClean 4200 [Pl.151, 24]). Nearly very fine with good facial detail, very scarce.

Asyut hoard suggests the type to have a chronology to be before 485 B.C.
