ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (272-235 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (6.22 grams), obv. naked rider crowning stationary horse to left, below horse **LUKI NOS* in two lines, above to right **SU*, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a chlamys on left arm and trident in right hand, to right, owl, **TAPAS below, (cf.S.374, cf.Vl.836-841, SNG ANS 1166). Good very fine.
