Fonteius P.f.Capito, (c.55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, ((3.375 grams), obv. Mars bust right, P FONTEIVS P F [CAPITO III VIR] around, rev. warrior on horseback thrusting spear at Gaulish figure, [MN FONT TR MIL] around, (S.-, Cr.429/1, Syd. 900, B.Fonteia 17 [£85]). Second coin off centred on obverse, otherwise very good - fine, both scarce. (2)
