Siculo-Punic, mint of the camp, (c.300-290 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.730 grams), obv. head of young Melqart or Heracles wearing lion skin to right with mane in long vertical tuffs, rev. horse's head to left, palm tree behind, barley ear before, Punic legend 'MHMHNT' below, border of dots, (S.6436, SNG Lloyd 1654 [same dies], Jenkins SNR 57, [Series 5a] 288 [same dies, O92/R236]). Attractive dark tone, good very fine/ nearly extremely fine and very rare variant.
