Zeugitania, Carthage, (c.208-206 B.C.), billon tetradrachm or double shekel, (8.954 grams), obv. wreathed head of Tanit to left wearing triple pendant earring, line border, rev. horse standing to right, head looking back, with a large pellet under body of horse, (S.6497 [p.601 dates 230-220 B.C.], Jenkins [Pl.27, 9-10 dates c.230-220 B.C.], SNG Cop. 395, [similar dies, dates late 3rd early 2nd century B.C.], M.115, Visona 58 [dates c.208-202 B.C.]). Extremely fine, attractive, and rare.
