Zeugitania, Carthage, (c.215-205 B.C.), silver half shekel or drachm, (3.808 grams), Italian mint, obv. head of Tanit to left, wreathed with corn, wearing necklace, [dotted border], rev. horse standing to right, sun-disk between two uraeus-cobras, line border, (cf.S.6498, SNG Cop. 359-360, M.87). Attractive blue-grey tone extremely fine and scarce.
