Zeugitania, Carthage, African or Libyan Revolt (Libya), (c.241-238 B.C.), billon tetradrachm or double shekel, (12.192 grams), obv. head of Zeus to left, clearly overstruck on Carthaginian billon double shekel with horse to right, star above (c.255-241 B,C,), rev. bull butting to right, **LIBUWN* in exergue, overstruck on head of Tanit to left, (cf.S.6541, Robinson, Num. Chron. (1953) No. 17-18, [p.29 Pl.III, 1-2], SNG Cop. 244). Full flan, well centred, extremely fine and rare, with a clear overstrike on the Carthaginian earlier double shekel.
