Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), posthumous issue on broad flan, silver tetradrachm, (16.248 grams), Temnus mint, issued c.180-160 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin without a dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, HAP and EP monograms to left, oenochoe right beneath vine-tendril, to right **[AL]EXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 1686, SNG Von Post 192 (This Coin), BMC 1686, M.958). Well centred, nearly very fine and scarce.
