Anglo Saxon, Edward the Confessor, (1042-1066), silver penny, Pyramids type, LEOFPINE ON STA (Leofwine of Stamford), (S.1184, N.831, Br.10, BMC type XV). Weak in places, otherwise good very fine, rare.
The reading of the reverse appears fairly certain although not listed in either BMC or any of the SCBI's.
