France, St. Maixent (circa 1760) token (or Mereau) of the Poitou group, (Gelin fig 38; C.5519), another but for Vancais (Gelin fig 43; C.369) (circa 1760). Uncertain, upright oblong, shepherd (?) seated under tree reverse communion cup (?) another similar but shepherd is on the left; C.L. reverse 1; trident in shield EV, reverse 7 (?); I.C. reverse communion cup; H:E reverse plain; French (?) Ebey & Suchs L reverse lion either side of fleur de lis (possibly a seal); Episcopal, IHS across anchor cross reverse plain; the last six all about 14-16mm. Ireland (?) P reverse 3, another reverse 6 (both ex Glendining's sale 6 June, 1990 (lot 440 part)) Jetons; GR on shield? reverse union jack; FOR, reverse triangle on 4 and 3 (1743?); Contra Nando Incrementum, three fishes reverse indented circle of leaves; Cupar Angus reverse uncertain curved legend (a lead farthing?); aluminium medalet of First Communion. Fair-good extremely fine. (17)
