Ex H.G>Williams Collection. It is probable that Williams acquired his collection and bulk duplicates from Davidson of , Scotland. This group and the two similar groups in the next two lots were returned by 'Buckie' Orr after he had listed them for sale thus they were not included in a larger bulk lot of these sold to Spink in 1973 together with the Williams Collection. It is likely that early collectors were able to obtain remainder stocks of tokens from old Kirks thus, accounting for this hoard of multiple issues being preserved.
