Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.344 grams), Miletus mint, issued c.295-275 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, MI monogram to left, to right **[A]LEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6730, Price 2151, BMC 2151a-d, M.1057). About as struck with some mint bloom, extremely fine or better.
