Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), posthumous issue on broad flan, silver tetradrachm, (16.326 grams), Perga mint, issued 221-220 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin without a dotted border, countermarked with Seleucid anchor, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, A to left, to right **[AL]EXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 2915, BMC -, M.1225). Well centred, very fine and weak in places.
