Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.888 grams), Phaselis mint, issued 207-206 B.C., (year 12), obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, countermarked with Seleucid anchor on head, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, IB over **F* to left, to right **[A]LEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 2851, BMC 2851, M.1186). Coin with surface porosity, otherwise fine/nearly fine.
