Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), posthumous issue on broad flan, silver tetradrachm, (16.634 grams), Temnus mint, issued c.180-160 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin without a dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, EXENIKO**S*, oenochoe right beneath vine-tendril, **GEITAS* under throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 1690, BMC 1690a-b, M.966). Well centred, good very fine and rare.
