Italy, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-300 B.C.), silver stater or nomos, (7.435 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, Thessalian eagle behind, **DI* below, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below a dolphin, to right **LO, below in exergue [NEOPOLITWN] off the flan, (cf.S.307, Sambon 448, SNG ANS 32 [same dies], Weber 328, McLean 252]). Off centred on the reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and a rare symbol.
