Description
Decimal specimen banknotes, two each representing front and back of notes of the one dollar, Coombs/Wilson AAA000000; two dollars, Coombs/Wilson FAA000000; five dollars, Coombs/Randall NAA000000; ten dollars, Coombs/Wilson SAA000000; twenty dollars, Coombs/Wilson XAA000000, with small oval stamp 'SPECIMEN' in the watermarked area on both sides of notes; plus two fifty dollar notes, Phillips/Wheeler YAA000000, overprinted in red 'NO VALUE', 'SPECIMEN' diagonally across note twice and 'SPECIMEN No. 0021' on one note, 'SPECIMEN No.0092' on the other note (R.71SPA, 81SPA, 91SPA, 101SPA, 111SPA, 121SPC). These notes are contained in a special book printed by the Reserve Bank in 1966 and were presented to prominent people and those directly connected with the design and printing of the decimal notes. This book is signed by Gordon Andrews, who prepared the Coat of Arms on the one dollar note. Uncirculated. (12 notes)
