Netherlands, Groningen besieged by the Bishops of Cologne and Munster, diamond klippe of twenty five stuivers or half ecu, 1672, obv. IVRE ET TEMPORE, crowned arms, rev. normally uniface however this example with a delightful view of the besieged city, (KM.26, Del. 737, and illustrated on plate 35, M.44.11). Very fine and very rare with engraved with the view of the city.
Delmonte notes in a footnote (p.173) that several of these pieces have been engraved with a view of the city and inscription or another object.
