Q. Caecilius Mettellus Pius Scipio, (Imperator 47-46 B.C.), silver denarius, Africa mint, (3.72 grams), obv. laureate head of Jupiter to right, Q. METEL PIVS around, rev. elephant to right, SCIPIO above, IMP in exergue, (S.317 [£120], Cr.459/1, Syd.1046, B.Caecilia 47 [£70]). Off centred on reverse, dark tone, otherwise good very fine/very fine and scarce.
