C. Vibius C.f.C.n. Pansa Caetronianus, (48 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.76 grams), obv. young Bacchus to right wearing ivy wreath, PANSA behind, rev. Ceres in biga drawn by two snakes to right, C.VIBIVS C.F.C.N. before and below, (S.-, Cr.449/3b, Syd.945, B.Vibia 17 [£65]). Attractive dark grey patina, nearly extremely fine and rare.
Ex Dolphin Coins, November 16, 1986. Less than 30 obverse dies were used for this type as determined by Crawford.
