Description

M. Volteius M.f., (c.78 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.82 grams), obv. head of young Hercules to right, wearing lion skin, rev. the Erymanthian boar running to right, [M.] VOLTEI. M.F. in exergue, (S.-, Cr.385/2, Syd.775, B. Volteia 2). Even grey patina, slightly off centre on the obverse, good very fine/very fine and rare.
