M. Fannius and L. Critonius, (86 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.45 grams), obv. Ceres head to right, AED PL behind, rev. two aediles, seated right, traces of legend, (S.-, Cr.351/1, Syd.717a, B.Critonia 1); Gargilius, Ogulnius and Vergilius. (c.86 B.C.), AE asses (2), (11.19 grams), (Cr.350/3d) and (10.64 grams), (Cr.350/3e). Poor - very good all rare. (3)
Ex Glendining's, London, September 17, 1980 (lot 127 part for first coin), others November 7, 1979 (lot 186 part). Only 22 obverse dies calculated by Crawford for the first coin, the magistrate is only known for the denarius of this type.
