M. Aurelius Scaurus, (c.118 B.C.), silver denarius, Narbo mint, (3.89 grams), obv. Roma, Phrygian helmeted head right, M AVRELI before, ROMA and [*] behind, rev. Bituitus in biga to right, SCAVRI ligated below, L.LIC.CN.DOM in exergue, (S.-, Cr.282/1, Syd.523). Even grey patina and bright reverse, light edge porosity, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
