Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 209, (3.236 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P XVII COS III P P, Neptune standing half left, foot on rock, holding trident and hand on knee, (S.1779, RIC 228, RSC 529). Extremely fine and scarce.
