Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, Ephesus mint, issued from 25 B.C., (9.69 grams), obv. [C]AESAR to left, large bare head of Augustus to right, rev. AVGVSTVS in one line across field within a laurel wreath, (S.-, RIC 486, Ash. 710-2, RPC 2235 [p.381, Pl.99], Howego Class 2c, BMC 731); another AE dupondius, issued 16 B.C., by C.Gallius Lupercus (8.99 grams), obv. three lines within oak wreath, rev. partial legend around large SC, (cf.S.505, RIC 378, BMC 173). Both coins off centred, first with a very fine portrait, otherwise good fine/fine; second very good, first rare. (2)
