Thessaly, Larissa (under Macedonian domination), (350-325 B.C.), silver drachm, (6.128 grams), obv, facing head three-quarter to right of nymph Larissa, within dotted border, rev. horse grazing to left, above **LAPISAI, plain exergue, (S.2123, Lorber, head type 16, No.38.2(a), (this coin, illustrated p.278, and described p.269), SNG Lockett 1580 same obverse die]). Slightly off centre on the obverse with nearly full flan and clear ethnic on the reverse, of fine style with developing die crack on obverse, good very fine, the only known example with these dies, very rare with an important photographic pedigree.
