Ireland, Civil War Coinage, 'Gun Money', magnificent proof crown 1690 struck in silver, edge plain (KM.103a, cf.Spink 6578). In lucite described holder from the Pittman Sale, fully struck and well centred on a full planchet, with a medium iridescent patina a blend of red, gold and blue highlights, FDC, extremely rare and one of the finest known.
