Madras Presidency, Indian Style Coinage, Hindu System, Gold pagoda, c.1691-1740, first struck at Fort St. George (Madras) mint in 1691-2, (3.466 grams), obv. three standing figure deities, (representing Vishnu as Venkatesvara and his two wives, Sridevi and Bhudevi), rev. granulated, (Pr.3A, KM. 289). Nearly extremely fine and rare.
