DCM: 'During the Cretan campaign Hull acted as Regimental Despatch Rider and during the whole time of the enemy attack lasting seven days he untiringly and courageously carried out his job despite all enemy action. On 21st May he was sent to No.7 General Hospital to draw urgent medical supplies but was cut off by parachute troops. Whilst attempting to break through he was machine gunned and dive bombed and had to seek refuge behind the enemy for three hours. Towards evening he ran the gauntlet pf parachute troops and brought the supplies through safely. His coolness in the face of danger on this and many other occasions was outstanding.' With photocopy of Certificate of Discharge.
