Great Britain - India, mixed prisoner of war and civilian internment camp, WWII issue, Dehra Dun/ Premnagar region, eight annas type 3, Internees Private Funds Account note. (Campbell 5202a). Nearly uncirculated, rare.
The POW notes circulating in the camps in India are mostly similar with black overprints for specific camps. The issue for Bhopal was for use by Italian POW's. The camp was located approximately 400 miles south of Delhi. The notes for type 1 have a 6mm bar on the left, type 2 are notes without a bar.
