Thrace, Byzantion, (350 B.C.), silver tetrobol, (2.478 grams), obv. cow standing to left, foreleg raised, above **PU*, rev. qudripartite incuse square of mill-sail pattern, another similar Bithynia, Calchedon (c.350 B.C.), (2.466 grams), obv. bull to left on ground line, rev. as before, (S.1582, 3739, SNG BMC Black sea 36-41 [Pl.II], 118-123 [Pl.V]). Off centred on obverse, otherwise very fine. (2)

An interesting similar pair from two separate cities separated by the Bosphorus Strait (Asia and Europe), who obviously employed the same die cutters for their coinages.
