Italy, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.335-330 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.5 grams), obv. bearded Corinthian helmeted head of Leukippos to right, behind lion's head to right, rev. ear of corn, to right META, to left club erect over leaf, [AMI] below, (S.415, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class B, 2.19, cf.SNG ANS 433, cf.SNG Cop.1208). Good fine/very fine and a scarce type, very rare dies.
