AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, posthumous issue, Rome mint, issued under Tiberius, issued A.D. 15-16, (10.962 grams), obv. radiate head of Augustus to left, around DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, thunderbolt in front, rev. S C across field, draped female figure seated to right, feet on stool, holding patera and long sceptre, (S.525, RIC 72, BMC 151). Slightly off centred on the obverse, chocolate brown patina good very fine and rare.
