Description
Kimberley, Kamfersdown Diamond Mine, store checks or truck tickets, all octagonal 2/6 in brass, another with four holes pierced, another two in aluminium, unpierced (illus), 1/- in brass (illus) and 6d in brass both pireced with four holes (T.C60; M-) undated but circa 1900. Very fine - extremely fine and rare (6).
The first ex D&W Sale 29 May 1996 (lot 379) second, third and last from C.B.Fox (Melbourne) in 1983, the fourth ex Spink Sale 96 (lot 368 part) and the fifth ex R.J.Ford (lot 905 part) Collection.
