India, East India Company, uniform coinage, quarter anna, 1858, machine trial by J.Watt and co, obverse die defaced by crossed chisel marks (3) reverse N D A of India erased, J W & Co in relief around value (Pr 158). Extremely fine, interesting and very rare.
