Railways, G(reat) W(estern) R(ailway) Loco. Dept Coal Ticket 2 CWT in copper (31mm)(D&W 328/30)(illus); Edinburgh and Dalkeith, J.Young/ Railway Coach in brass (29mm)(illus). Omnibus Check, Sheffield and Rotherham Railway general October 31 1838 in copper (27mm) stamped 265, another stamped 428 (D&W 330/50)(a total of 1800 were issued, sold for scrap in 1895, the service ran between Wicker Station through the town to the Glossop Road Toll Bar. The fare was 4d. (letter from Sheffield Library included); G(reat) W(estern) R(ailway) Refreshment Department in silvered brass (29mm)(2, one with milled edge and slightly different dies)(illus). Bristol, Clifton Rocks Railway (inclined) opened 1893, ticket issued to passenger on opening day, in white metal, cross ends (35mm)(MG.1387). London and Greenwich Railway Company in copper (28mm) (D&W 329/43; MG.1391)(illus); GWR Safety Talisman for railway workers in aluminium (33mm) IT IS SAFE copyright 1922 (illus). Fine - nearly uncirculated, the first virtually mint state and rare thus. (9)
