Hamer, private tokens in aluminium, 1899, Halifax Church of St. John (Bell A 1) Kirkstall Abbey (Bell A2) and 1900 Bolton Abbey (Bell A4) edge lettered I.WILL.EXCHANGE.MY.TOKEN.FOR.AN.APPROVED.ONE. Church of St. John (Bell A5) edge lettered as before. The first with corrosion patches, others uncirculated and very rare. (4)
The first ex Glendining's sale 21 March 1990 (lot 278 part), the second purchased from Seaby in 1975, the others gifts from W.J. Davis and ex W. Sykes (lot 293, part) Collection.
