Hamdanids, Nasir al-Dawla & Sayf al-Dawla, conjointly (A.H. 330-356) (A.D. 942-967), silver dirhams, Madinat al Salam (Baghdad mint), issued A.H. 351 = A.D. 962, (A.748 = A.261, cf.M.589), another Nisabin mint, issued A.H. 334 = A.D. 945, (A.748 = A.261). Good very fine, and fine, both scarce. (2)
ex Glendining's 1964, the second coin ex Steve Album private purchase 1979. The Hamdanids of Iraq and Syria (A.H. 317-406, A.D. 929-1015), issued coinage in Syria and the Jazira, the two branches issued coinage in joint name and had respective capitals at Aleppo and Mosul.
