al-Mahdi, (A.H. 158-169) (A.D. 775-785), gold dinar, no mint, A.H. 164 = A.D. 780-781, type variant with dot above on reverse, (A.214, cf.M.156). Clipped flan, slightly bent, otherwise nearly very fine.
