Group of Five: 1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star (France & Germany) Defence Medal; British War Medal 1939-45 (M.I.D.) Australia Service Medal. 401543 G.J. Stansfield. Stars unnamed, medals impressed. Extremely fine.

M.I.D: L.G. 1 January 1945. Together with RAAF flying log book for Flight Lieutenant G.F. Stansfield RAAF,(a spitfire pilot of 453 Squadron RAAF) in which he notes his participation in the Battle of Arnhem; medal entitlement certificate, photographs - including one of the recipient with the Duke of Gloucester and a 1945-1980 'then and now' photograph of recipient and two squadron colleagues. Flt Lieut Stansfield enlisted on 28Feburary 1941 and served in the C.A.F. after the war.
