Diocletian, (A.D. 284-305), AE folles, Alexandria mint, issued A.D. 308-310, (8.7 grams), obv. laureate half bust of Diocletian in imperial mantle with olive branch and mappa to right, around D N DIOCLETIANO BAEATISS, rev. around PROVIDENTIA DEORVM, Providentia standing to right extending right hand to Quies standing left, holding branch, leaning on sceptre, ALE in exergue, E / K P in field, (cf.S.3542-3, RIC 109). Light scratches in field on reverse, and a rare post abdication issue.
