Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 92, (3.4 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P XI, rev. around IMP XXII COS XVI CENS P P P, Minerva to left with thunderbolt and spear, (cf.S.897, RIC 168/173, RSC.272/279). Good very fine and an unpublished mule between an obverse issued in A.D. 91-2 issue and a reverse issued in A.D. 92.
Domition issues of this time with a reverse dated for his Imperatorial acclamation of number XXII and a Consulship number XVI are known only for a Tribunician Power numbers XII to XIIII and not previously noted for XI.
